Spring 24 Vinyl Market

As always, Belfast Record Fair brought sellers with a huge variety of vinyls, you could spend hours sifting through them and find many, many gems. 

In an attempt not to spend all my money, I bought 3 in the end, I spent the afternoon asking people what they bought and why and it was probably the most joyous part of my day. Emotional, reflective, reminiscent conversations about youth, movies and growing into adulthood were pretty much the main content. It reminded me of why I love vinyls and why I am building a collection, even though I dont listen to them all the time. It’s the reasons behind the music, the time in my life that it takes me to, how those songs make me feel because of where I was when I first heard them. I have a library of feelings in my living room. It’s also that they make me feel like Im in the room with the bands, the wide sound of an open room rather than a clean, shiny studio. We all wanna be a rock star, or I do anyway.
