The Big Carrick Quiz

The Big Carrick Quiz was a sold out event that had 27 teams battling it out to life the shield and become the town champions!

Team ‘Quiz Khalifa’ took the title but it was a close race to the end, with teams ‘Pete, Gordon, Ruth’ and ‘The No Hopers’ all finishing close together in second and third places. One of the more memorable rounds from the evening was the Music Round with 8 different versions of the traditional song “I Wish I was In Carrickfergus’ being performed; the teams had to name each performer to win points. Our love/hate relationship with this song continues…

So much thanks to ‘Bill the Thrill’ of Deja Vu Promotions who organised and hosted the event – what a cracking job he did! We are excited to see what Deja Vu Promotions come up with next- we promise to let you know as you wont want to miss it. Also loads and loads of thanks to local town businesses who supported the raffle for the evening by donating gift vouchers. All funds from the raffle have been safely stored away as the start of our festival fund – keep an eye out for more details of this too over the next few months.
