We had a little diversion from our planned Ceilidh for May because the town hall entertainment license had lapsed, unknown to anyone …

Anyhow, we deviated from the town hall to our lovely premises in the Courtyard called the Talking Shop. We quickly considered the ideas we had been hearing so far and picked one that we hoped wouldn’t require a huge amount or organisation. We contacted Belfast record Fair who were happy to visit Carrickfergus.

The sun was out all afternoon and it was class to spend time with people who love music. The buyers were content, the sellers were satisfied and I was slightly relieved I had pulled this off with 3 weeks notice.

One of the best parts of the afternoon was meeting people and watching people make friends with others they just met. We will definitely be running this again soon.
